Description
ELMON relay Dual-channel switching device, DIN rail. Switching devices are used to monitor and evaluate safety contact edges, mats, and other tactile protective devices. They form the central interface between the protective device and the higher-level machine or gate control system and ensure reliable signal processing. As monitoring devices, they continuously check the connected safety elements for proper functioning and for possible faults such as cable breaks, short circuits, or tampering. In the event of an incident, they immediately detect the change in status and transmit a corresponding signal to the control system in order to stop any dangerous movement immediately. With integrated evaluation electronics and permanent function monitoring, switching devices contribute significantly to operational safety and compliance with applicable safety requirements. They ensure reliable communication between the protective device and the control system, thus enabling safe and standard-compliant system concepts.
