30 Reasons Why We Love Being a Team – ASO at the Altstadtlauf Lippstadt
Sometimes it doesn’t take a boardroom to bring a team together – sometimes all you need is a pair of running shoes, a closed-off city centre, and a shared goal. That’s exactly what 30 colleagues from ASO Safety Solutions proved at this year’s Altstadtlauf in Lippstadt.
The Altstadtlauf is the oldest running event in the heart of Lippstadt and one of the most beloved sporting occasions in the region. On 8 May 2026, the city centre around Rathausstraße once again became a car-free race course, with around 2,000 participants taking to the streets – from solo runners to full corporate teams. ASO Safety Solutions came out strong with 30 colleagues, making us one of the largest company teams of the night.
Whether running 5 or 10 kilometres, every single person on our team gave it everything they had. Some were hunting down a personal best, others were standing at a start line for the very first time. And some simply ran for the joy of doing it side by side. That’s what makes evenings like this so memorable – it’s never just about the running. It’s about sharing an experience, cheering each other on, and crossing the finish line together – no matter the distance.
What came after was just as much a part of it: a well-earned cold drink 🍺 and a team evening that people will still be talking about for a long time. The finish line was just where the fun began.
At ASO Safety Solutions, more than 200 people come to work every day to develop innovative sensor solutions for safety and automation – in Lippstadt, in the USA, and in China. What keeps us going isn’t just technical know-how; it’s the people and the culture we’ve built together. Moments like the Altstadtlauf are a reminder of what that really looks like: a team that shows up for each other – on the race track and in everyday working life alike.
