Description
SENTIR edge 25-40 CN hollow chamber profile made of NBR material. Safety contact edges are tactile protective devices that are used as closing edge safety devices at pinch and shear points. They serve to protect people and materials at automated gates, moving machine parts, handling equipment and other systems. When touched or subjected to force, they immediately interrupt the circuit and reliably stop the movement. A safety contact edge consists of a resistant TPE profile with an integrated contact or switching element and an aluminium mounting rail for secure and stable fastening. Function monitoring is usually carried out according to the proven quiescent current principle. The entire safety chain – even in the case of possible series connections – is continuously monitored by evaluation electronics. A terminating resistor at the end of the contact edge enables permanent monitoring for short circuits and wire breaks, thus ensuring a high level of operational safety. The safety contact edge can be flexibly adapted to a wide variety of geometries and are available in different versions: as roll stock for individual assembly, as a complete set with matching accessories, or ready for connection. This offers maximum flexibility in planning and use – for efficient and standard-compliant safety solutions.
